Austin Central Library Receives Best Project Design Award from ULI Austin

September 2018

The Urban Land Institute (ULI Austin) recognized the Austin Central Library with the Best Project Design Award at their 2018 Impact Awards Ceremony. The Impact Awards celebrate projects and people in Austin that exemplify ULI's mission to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwride.

"Everything about the design of this place reflects a great deal of thought. Many people hadn't even given much thought to what a library could be, and yet they go into this building and their eyes just light up. You're overwhelmed by this beautiful, spectacular space. It's all glass, and light and openness— really, every element of this design was so well thought out to make it a really special place."
-Chris Riley, Austin City Council 2009-2015
