1+ Initiative

Lake|Flato is passionate about public service and sharing our design expertise and thought leadership. We are a committed member of Public Architecture's 1+ program, a national movement in partnership with the AIA that coordinates and advocates for pro bono architectural efforts in the public interest.

As a committed 1+ firm, Lake|Flato fulfills a yearly pledge to contribute 1% of our design staff's total project hours toward pro bono design work focused on non-profit clients working for the public good.

Our pro bono architectural work is done with the same passion and rigor as all our projects, and has helped a number of fledgling organizations plan smartly for growth, assess strategies for sustainability and be aspirational with their new buildings.
