Our newest interns are joining us just in time for Flake Lato this weekend, where they'll get to know their fellow LFers really well and in a short amount of time. Here's what we know about our newest recruits so far:
Joining our talented group of student interns, Melina Pereira is adding San Antonio to the laundry list of places she has lived. Melina was born in Sao Luis, Brazil, but has also spent time in Manaus, Brazil; Belem, Brazil; Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolovia; and Bogota, Colombia. She moved to the United States to attend school, receiving her B.F.A in Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. Her next adventure took her to Ohio, where she received her Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. This girl has been all over the place - so if you're planning a trip to South America she could probably give you a few tips on places to visits.
Originally from Singapore, Karno Widjaja joins us most recently from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh where he received his B. Arch. Karno enjoys trying new foods of all sorts - including fried insects like crickets and grasshoppers that he describes simply as, "Crunchy!" Karno also enjoys singing. We'll see if we can get him to sing us some songs around the campfire this weekend.
Welcome y'all!
