Are you a green building professional looking for ways to give back to the community? Do you enjoy working with children and want to help them become good stewards of their environments?
Then we need YOU!
In partnership with the National Wildlife Federation’s Eco-Schools USA program, the USGBC Green Schools Committee is seeking mentors for its 2013-2014 Green Schools Challenge!
Schools in Austin and San Antonio are currently being invited to form “Green Teams” of 4th and/or 5th graders to create projects aimed at greening their school environment. Two mentors (trained by USGBC) will then be assigned to each Green Team, who will lead the students through the Eco-SchoolsUSAGreenSchool curriculum and help the team identify and implement a low- or no-cost project to complete during the 2013-2014 school year.
Help positively impact students, teachers and the community forever- for more information on the program and becoming a mentor, visit USGBC's Green Schools Challenge webpage.
