Clinton Corners Residence
A short drive from New York City, Clinton Corners is a bespoke residence nestled discreetly into a wooded lot, evoking a sense of solitude despite its proximity to a nearby upstate hamlet. The house was envisioned as both a family retreat for weekends away from the city and a gathering space for intimate holidays and special occasions. Constructed of custom heavy timber framing and superinsulated prefabricated panels, the project combined an ambitious eight-month construction schedule with the highest standards for energy performance and indoor air quality. Organized into three distinct gable volumes for family, guests and entertaining, the house follows a gently sloping site toward the neighborhood lake, where summers are spent swimming and winters ice skating.
