Ben, an architect in Lake|Flato’s residential studio, is passionate about “quiet” architecture. He leans into buildings that feel like they were built from the site and only for that site. As a licensed architect in Massachusetts and Texas, he has the unique opportunity to work in multiple regions and embrace design that nods to practical materials and traditions of the past while harnessing the opportunities of the present. He has over 10 years of industry experience in single-family residential, multi-family residential, and healthcare design. He has lived and worked internationally in Rwanda and Haiti, while also founding Kigali Modern, a furniture design and fabrication company based in Kigali, Rwanda. Outside the office, you can find Ben rowing crew on the Charles River, building furniture, or trail running in the Arnold Arboretum.
