Hotel San Cristóbal
The historic town, sweeping beaches, palm forests, stoic foothills, local farms, cantinas, and authentic Mexican culture form the ideal ecosystem for a more essential, reverential kind of lifestyle. Nestled on the coast just north of Punta Lobos on the Baja Peninsula, the 90-key Hotel San Cristobal is designed to preserve the area’s inherent, raw beauty as an oasis tucked away where the sea and mountains collide. Technology and tradition are carefully merged through a thoughtful approach to design and meticulous attention to the time-honored principles of a balanced lifestyle.

The 90-key hotel is sited to take advantage of the expansive view of the lapis blue ocean and the surrounding Sierra de la Laguna mountains. Wide-open views are maintained throughout the complex to the area’s natural surroundings. The central courtyard acts as the main community gathering space for the hotel with welcoming outdoor clusters of built-in sofas and pool.
Standard rooms offer private porches and views to the sea and mountains, and sea-side suites include outdoor showers and baths overlooking the ocean. East and west facing windows are shaded by custom trellis and window awnings designed to block the hot sun while encompassing the stunning views.
Native flora and fauna, local craftsmanship, and traditional building materials are a nod to the traditional style of the region. The furniture used throughout the project is handmade in Mexico, and the hand-stamped patterned tiles recall a traditional method used throughout the area.
