Full Goods Warehouse

San Antonio, TX

Lake|Flato’s innovative Master Plan for the renovation of the historic Pearl Brewery began with a redesign of the 1975 Full Goods Warehouse, an industrial space once used to store filled bottles. The original structure of the warehouse was preserved, but its space was made more efficient by the addition of a second story. The complex, which includes office and retail space, pivots around shaded exterior community gathering places. Naturally lit, and cooled by prevailing breezes and huge fans (18 feet in diameter), these breezeways take advantage of San Antonio’s temperate climate to provide more extensive, flexible space. Its design reflects a commitment to sustainability and is recognized for sustainable site development, water conservation, energy efficiency, materials selections and indoor environmental quality. The project is certified LEED Gold. In collaboration with DHR Architects.
